Flat Rates for Marketing & Copywriting Services

1. Your rates
   For marketing or copywriting services, my rates depend on the nature of the project, your budget and deadline. I use a flat rate fee based by the project (not by the hour). The rates will be mutually agreeable. Prices are shown for every service. Refer to the relevant page.
2. Flat rate fee
   My flat rate fee is inclusive of review, editing, writing, research time and administrative costs (phone, fax, emails, printing). This commonly applies to small, straight forward projects. For large complex assignments, I apply higher fees.
3. Fee estimation
   For any marketing or copywriting project, I estimate my fee based on:
   • How much background information you provide
   • Technical complexity
   • Scope of project
   • Amount of time required to complete the project
4. Higher fees
   Yes, I charge more when a project entails any of these:
   • Large projects; open-ended assignments over a period of time.
   • You change the focus of the project from its original plan.
   • Discussions with multiple decision makers.
   • Interviews or consultations with external parties.
   • Numerous revisions
   • Short deadline or rush job.
5. Payment
   Payment is due immediately for any project that is under $300. For larger projects, payment can be made by installment upon mutually agreeable terms.
6. Termination
   If you terminate the project prematurely for whatever reason, a fee applies for the amount of time I have spent on that project.
7. Satisfaction
   If you are not satisfied with my work let me know. I will revise it to your satisfaction. In particular, please be specific about your concern. Point out what you are not happy with. Instead of saying “I don’t like your copy”, give me details of what does not work. Is it the flow, tone, or style? I will resolve your concern promptly.
8. Copyright
   After receipt of full payment, you have copyright of the final product. However, I may ask you for permission to show the copy in my online portfolio.
